What Do I Want to Do?

Get Organized, Get Balanced, Get Relaxed

We don’t know what we are doing. We are writing to figure out what it is that we want to do.

Maybe you are like us…

  • sick of the “daily grind”
  • craving organization
  • searching for a more fulfilling lifestyle

If this resonates with you, then you probably have something in common with us. We are sick of hitting a wall.

We have to ask ourselves: WHAT DO I WANT TO DO???

One of us has owned their own business since 1978. Another one of us is a self-taught researcher and problem-solver who built the business owner’s online store.

We believe in empowerment, self-sufficiency and the golden rule:

No One Wins… Unless Everybody Wins

We are inquisitive consultants that think creatively in terms of developing an idea. We like helping others achieve their goals.

There are client profiles of particular interest to us as consultants. We enjoy engaging with folks who may be:

  • business owners seeking out an online presence
  • thinking about an idea and want help making it a reality
  • interested in getting more organized
  • looking to get in touch with holistic practices such as breathwork, meditation, and martial arts
  • in need of help attaining a seemingly unattainable goal
  • wanting a change but are unsure of exactly what they want to do

We have innovative methods and we think you will be happy you paid us to help you.

Unknown Unknowns

But what if… you don’t know what it is that you want yet?

Good, because this is our specialty.

A little bit of background in the form of a parable…

There is a business owner whose main money has come from selling coins to coin collectors since 1978. In the past few years, this entrepreneur has successfully segued from selling coins and collectibles “the old school way” to a fully functioning e-commerce enterprise.

The old school coin dealer had wanted an online store for several years. Every attempt ended as a failed experiment. The problem was that the business owner wasn’t tech-savvy. They never wanted to learn what they needed to learn all the way through. They wanted to give their problem to someone else, and have the problem solved for them.

What the business owner found was that when they were talking with tech people, the 2 parties were speaking different languages. The entrepreneur was unable to explain to the tech people what was needed in terms the developers could understand. And the developers could not comprehend the subtleties of the coin dealer’s niche business.

At any rate, the project didn’t get done by professional web developers and digital marketing strategists. A conversational interface was needed.

Then one day the self-taught researcher and problem-solver came along and taught themself how to build the online store.

Then the researcher taught the business owner how to use it. And now the business is growing, and new clients are finding the coin dealer’s online store.

What the two individuals realized while working on this project together, is that the business owner didn’t really know what they wanted.

They knew they wanted an online store, but they didn’t know how online stores worked or how to talk about ecommerce.

The reason that the project could not be realized with professional web developers and digital marketing strategists is because the business owner wanted something SPECIFICALLY TAILORED to their particular situation.

They didn’t want a package that a “professional” would throw at them, a one-size-fits-NOT.

Finding the Right Questions to Ask

So here we are. We still work together. And we enjoy working together. This is because we give each other the freedom to explore what we want to do.

In business (and in life) there are ALWAYS too many things to do. No matter what plan any of us sets in place, new unforeseen problems surface constantly. When you run an ecommerce website, you are constantly running into new kinds of problems that you didn’t understand you were going to face.

  • Broken code that used to work perfectly
  • Random customers can’t figure out how to use the payment gateway
  • Stock runs out or has incorrect quantities in the store
  • COMPUTERS BREAK DOWN

Once presented with these unavoidable, unpredictable, unforeseen and seemingly unsolvable issues, we have to chart new paths toward their solutions. You know something is wrong and you know you need to fix it, but how do you get from Point A to Point B?

What we have realized is that getting from Point A to Point B is simply a matter of knowing the right questions to ask.

Overhauling Business Systems (Another Parable)

Together, the business owner and the problem solver looked at the entrepreneur’s outdated business management and organization systems and found the flaws and the holes. Every time they got stuck on a “I wish something like THIS exists…,” the problem solver would go and research and come back to the business owner with the data that had been gathered. The researcher taught the business owner current nomenclature and helped them understand the options that were actually available.

Together, they reorganized the business owner’s inventory, restructured the order and invoicing flow, and reworked most of the same old methodologies that the entrepreneur had been using for decades.

Now, the business is growing, and new clients are finding the entrepreneur’s products on the internet! When the business owner’s morning starts, they log in to their website, and fill the orders that have come in.

We want to help YOU do what YOU want to do.

Our goal is to empower others just like ourselves to reach for their dreams. We have research methods that can HELP YOU HELP YOURSELF. If you want a website, we can help you get there. If you want to make a change, maybe we can help you chart your path.

We live in a fast-paced world that changes by the second. Technology is constantly updating and expanding. We can communicate with people all around the world in a matter of seconds. We can cross-pollinate and learn new things in ways that were inconceivable 20 years ago.

This time of change is an opportunity to look at our outmoded systems and rebuild our lives and our careers in new ways. By reorganizing ourselves and our businesses, we make way for new and wonderful lives!

The business owner is a real-life non-techy person who has insight to offer to other people, just like them, who own businesses and need to get online. And the self-taught researcher is a ninja problem-solver who can dig deep to find answers (or at least elucidation) to seemingly un-answerable problems. Our creative thinking skills can benefit your goals.
